Friday, May 1

  • Objetivo—Definir y usar números grandes
  • Assignments
    • Read page 306 to find out how large numbers are used in Spanish.
    • Use page 306 (and page 8, if you really need it) to help you complete the note sheet on numbers.
    • Write out activities 2 and 3 from page 307 on the back of your objective sheet.  Write out an English translation for activity 2.
    • Complete activity A from worksheet page 9.7 in your homework packet.

Monday, May 4

  • Objetivo—Review vocabulary from chapters five through nine for the final exam.
  • Assignments
    • Review vocabulary notes or eFlashcards from chapters five through nine.
    • You may choose between the two glencoe.com activities on the back of your objective sheet or the review activities from the textbook.  If you choose the glencoe.com activities, get parent signatures for them.  If you choose the textbook activities, write them out on a sheet of notebook paper and staple them to this objective sheet to turn in on Thursday.
      • Complete the review activities below on glencoe.com and get parent signatures for them below.
      • Do activities 1 and 2 on pages 184, 218, 254, 286, and 320.

Thursday, May 7's quiz will cover numbers, the verbs "to know," demonstratives, comparatives, and superlatives.

Friday, May 8

  • Objetivos—Escribir para comunicar información
  • Assignments
    • Write a paragraph comparing two family members.  What do they have in common?  How are they different?  Include:
      • What sports or activities do they enjoy?
      • Who’s taller, shorter, funnier, busier, etc?
      • What do they like to do in their free time in different types of weather?
    • Write a second paragraph explaining what you will do over the summer.  Answer the following questions in your paragraph and add any other details you deem appropriate.
      • ¿Qué vas a hacer primero?
      • ¿Qué tienes que hacer?
      • ¿Qué tienes ganas de hacer?
      • ¿Adónde vas a ir?

Monday, May 11

  • Objetivo—Leer y comprender << De compras >>
  • Assignments
    • Preview << De compras>> (318).
    • Read the article.
    • Answer the ¿Comprendes? questions.
    • In Spanish, write a summary of what you learned about shopping in Spain and Latin America.
